If the camera/recorder is to be left unattended for a long period of time, turn it off. English WARNING : TO PREVENT FIRE OR SHOCK HAZARD, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS UNIT TO RAIN OR MOISTURE. [. . . ] If you wish to dub DVD remaining bar other scenes, place the Dubbing (Select) cursor on a scene in the same way, and press the or PHOTO/ ENTER SELECT SELECT button to select it. To cancel a selected scene, press the or PHOTO/SELECT button again. To cancel all selected scenes, press (STOP/EXIT). If the total capacity size of the selected scenes exceeds the remaining free space on DVD, the DUB 5 When dubbing is finished, check the "Delete Scene" screen. TURNING OFF DUBBED MARK FROM THUMBNAIL (MARK OFF) If the dubbed mark makes the thumbnail difficult to see, you can turn off the mark. 1 Press the DISC NAVIGATION button, and then press the MENU 4 If there is no change in the scene for which you want to turn the mark off, press the button. 2 Choose "Scene", "Dubbing", "Mark Off", and then press the button. The "Cancel Dubbed Mark" screen will appear. Sc ene Execute Ma r k O f f Dubbing 5 Press the (STOP/EXIT) button to end the mark-off procedure. ENTER RETURN 3 Place the cursor on a scene for which you want to turn the dubbed mark off, and then press the PHOTO/SELECT button. You can also select multiple scenes. Note: You can use "New" dubbing to dub scenes with the dubbed mark turned off. Pressing the MENU button in step 3 will display the submenu screen (see "Editing using submenu" on page 89). 87 English SELECTING SCENES RECORDED ON HDD AND DUBBING THEM (SCENE "SELECT" DUBBING) Scene HDD English DELETING SCENES (EDIT DELETE) You may want to delete unwanted scenes. Scenes on DVD-RW (VF-mode)/DVD-R cannot be deleted, and menu item "Delete" will not appear with DVD-RW (VF-mode)/DVD-R. When using +RW, no scene can be deleted from the Disc Navigation menu, but the scenes recorded last on it can be deleted (see page 73). 1 Press the DISC NAVIGATION button. 2 Place the cursor on the scene to be deleted. 4 Choose "Scene", "Edit", "Delete", and then press the button. When using card, choose "Scene", "Delete", and then press the button. 5 The "Delete Scene" screen will appear: If you are sure you want to delete the selected scene, press the button. If you want to change the scene to be deleted, you can change it on this screen. Note: If you point the cursor at the scene to be deleted on DISC NAVIGATION screen, and then press the DELETE button on remote control, the screen in step 5 will appear. To delete an unwanted part of a scene on DVD-RAM/ DVD-RW (VR-mode), divide the scene first, and then delete the unnecessary part (see page 89). If you delete all data on HDD/DVD/card, initialising the HDD/DVD/card will be recommended (see page 108). If the time of deleted scenes (stills) is quite short, the remaining free space of HDD/DVD/card may not increase in the HDD/DVD/card or card remaining indicator. The locked scenes on card cannot be deleted (see page 95). 6 The screen for verifying deletion will appear: Choose "YES", and then press the button. Choose "NO" to cancel deletion. After Yes or No setting, the "Delete Scene" screen will be restored. [. . . ] Special arrangements may need to be made for infirm or handicapped people.
