[. . . ] The camcorder enters record/ pause (stand-by) mode. After recording, slide "CAM/OFF/VIDEO" to "OFF" position to turn off the camcorder. Press "STOP/EJECT" to remove the cassette. Always remove the power source from the camcorder after use. NOTES: · If you have a cassette tape that has already been partially recorded on and you want to record the remaining blank section, see "QUICK EDIT" on page 27. · You can turn the LCD monitor screen faces the same direction as the lens. When you record an image of yourself; the image displayed on the LCD monitor will be the reverse of a mirror image. INSTANT REVIEW PLAYBACK - 24 - 1. In record/pause (stand-by) mode, tap "REW/ REVIEW", and the last few seconds of the recorded scene is played back in the reverse direction and then played back in the forward direction. When the tape reaches the end of the scene you have just recorded, the camcorder returns to the record/pause (stand-by) mode. Recording starts again when "REC/PAUSE" is pressed again. NOTE: When "REW/REVIEW" is pressed once, the camcorder enters the instant review mode, and when it is held depressed, the camcorder enters the quick edit mode. PLAYBACK You can view recorded pictures on the three-inch LCD monitor immediately after recording. · If you connect the camcorder to your TV, you can seethe picture played back on your TV. Refer to "VIEWING THE PICTURE PLAYED BACK ON YOUR TV" on page 40. Open the LCD monitor, and then adjust the angle of the monitor (See "Opening the LCD monitor" on page 9). Press and hold the small button on "CAM/OFF/ VIDEO", and then slide it to the "VIDEO" position. Press "REW/REVIEW" to the position where you want to start playback. Press "PLAY" and play back the tape. To adjust the volume, adjust the volume control at the bottom of the camcorder. NOTE: Adjust TRACKING if necessary. See "Tracking adjustment" on page 40. Press "STOP/EJECT" when you have finished. PLAYBACK - 25 - NOTES: · Decrease the sound volume od the camcorder when you play back a recording by connecting the camcorder to your TV. If the volume of the camcorder is set to maximum, the played back picture may be distorted. Make sure that the volume is not set to maximum during recording as it could distort the played back picture. · When the LCD monitor is turned on and left as it is, the monitor becomes warm, but this does not indicate a fault. · When "CAM/OFF/VIDEO" is set to "CAM" or "VIDEO", the LCD monitor is turned on and off automatically when the LCD monitor is opened and closed. [. . . ] This does not mean that the recorded program has been erased. · Dirt accumulated on the head after long periods of use causes this problem. In this case, head cleaning requiring highly technical care is necessary. · Consult your nearest dealer or VCR service center before using a head cleaning tape.
