CLEANING/MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your Holmes window fan. Please remember: · Always unplug the fan before cleaning or disassembling · Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan motor housing · Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner, benzine OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Your fan is equipped with the technologically advanced 1TouchTM thermostat. You can set the fan from either the main housing or the remote control to run continuously in manual mode or set the 1TouchTM thermostat to your desired temperature setting. The 1TouchTM thermostat will automatically turn the fan ON or OFF depending on the preset comfort level. The comfort level ranges between 60° and 80° Fahrenheit. · Plug the fan into a 120V AC electrical outlet · Set the individual fan motors on either INTAKE, EXHAUST or for AIR EXCHANGE have one lever on intake and one lever on exhaust · To start the unit and run continuously, push the button on the fan housing or on the remote control once for the High setting and press either button twice for the Low setting NOTE: AIRFLOW DIRECTION CAN BE ALTERED WITHOUT TURNING THE FAN OFF · To stop the unit, press and hold the button on the fan housing or on the remote control for two seconds or keep pressing the button until all the speed and temperature indicators are OFF FAN STORAGE For all window fans, and fans that come already assembled. · It is important to keep it in a safe, dry location · We recommend using the original (or appropriately sized) box · Please remember to protect the fan from dust or moisture DETACH FROM INSTRUCTIONS AND MAIL IN THIS FORM IT'S A GREAT IDEA! When ambient temperature drops below the set temperature, the fan will stop. When the outside temperature rises above the set point, the fan will turn on automatically. Note: It is normal for the fan to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting. The 1TouchTM thermostat will remember the previous temperature setting after the unit has been turned off. However if the unit is unplugged, the 1TouchTM thermostat will be reset and will no longer remember the previous temperature setting.
