Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by, or near children or invalids, and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended. Always unplug the heater when not in use. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord. DO NOT insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater. [. . . ] You can set the heater to run continuously in manual mode or set the 1 TouchTM Thermostat to your desired temperature setting. The 1 TouchTM thermostat will automatically turn the heater ON or OFF depending on the preset comfort level. The comfort level ranges between 60º and 80º Fahrenheit. Plug the heater into a 120V AC electrical outlet. To start the unit, push the MODE/OFF button once for the HIGH (1500 Watts) manual setting. Press the button again for the LOW (1000 Watts) manual setting. To stop the unit, press and hold the button for two seconds or keep pressing the button until all the temperature indicators are OFF. Note: The Power Light will remain lit while the unit is plugged in. In Manual Mode, only the LOW or HIGH power light will be lit. Note: 1 TouchTM has memory. The 1 TouchTM Thermostat will remember the previous temperature setting after the unit has been turned off. However, if the unit is unplugged, the 1 TouchTM Thermostat will be reset and will no longer remember the previous temperature setting. CLEANING/MAINTENANCE During Season Care: 1. Always unplug the heater, before moving or cleaning. Carefully wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the motor and heating elements. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel. Holmes recommends that you store the unit in its original carton. TROUBLESHOOTING 1 TOUCHTM THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS To take advantage of the 1 TouchTM Thermostat continue to press the MODE/OFF button until the desired temperature is set in either the HIGH (1500 Watt) or LOW (1000 Watt) setting. When ambient temperature rises above the set temperature, the heater will stop. When the ambient temperature drops below the set temperature, the heater will turn on automatically. Note: When the 1 TouchTM thermostat is set, either the HIGH or LOW power light, and the set temperature light will remain lit during operation. #1 and #2) Note: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting. [. . . ] Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable box to avoid damage in shipping. Before packing your unit for return; be sure to enclose: a) your name, full address with zip code and telephone number, b) a dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE, c) your $7. 00 check for return packaging, and d) The model number of the unit and the problem you are having. (Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to the unit before the box is sealed. ) 3. Holmes recommends you insure the package (as damage in shipment is not covered by your warranty). [. . . ]
