OPERATING YOUR THERMOSTAT Normally you want your thermostat to run according to the program you entered; however, you can also change your program to perform the following operations. It tracks current day usage (since midnight) and accumulated usage (since the accumulator was last cleared). Direct Load Control (DLC) When the thermostat is operating under DLC, the amount of time your heating/cooling system can operate is controlled by radio signal from your utility company.
