[. . . ] V2880, Therafix Design Thera Design Edition - H-Block with TRV Insert WITH HIGH QUALITY SURFACE FOR DESIGN RADIATORS PRODUCT DATA Application The Thera Design Edition is particularly styled for use with design radiators. With their high class appearance they perfectly fit to all kinds of ambients. [. . . ] Thera-4 Design (not supplied with the valve) the Therafix Design controls the amount of heating water flowing through the radiator depending on the ambient room temperature. When the temperature increases the sensor inside the thermostat expands and acts onto the valve spindle of the thermostatic insert of the Therafix Design. The valve is closed and the flow through the radiator is throttled. When the room temperature decreases the sensor contracts and the spring-loaded thermostatic insert opens again ­ more heating water can flow through the radiator. The radiator is pre-settable with shut-off over the lockshield insert integrated into the return of the valve. Pre-setting allows throttling the flow through a radiator to realize a hydronic balance. The shut-off function separates the radiator from the heating loop, e. g. for removal. Please Note: · To avoid stone deposit and corrosion the composition of the medium should conform with VDI-Guideline 2035 · Additives have to be suitable for EPDM sealings · System has to be flushed thoroughly before initial operation with all valves fully open · Any complaints or costs resulting from non-compliance with above rules will not be accepted by Honeywell · Please contact us if you should have any special requirements or needs Pre-setting The TRV is open by factory setting. Pre-setting is done by first closing the valve insert (head black with pre-setting-figure 0-9) on top of the valve body 2 turns right and then opening to the pre-setting-figure derived from the flow diagram. NOTE: One complete turn refers to pre-setting-figure 10, 2 complete turns to pre-setting-figure 20 and so on. Another possiblility to preset the TRV is to open the lockshield insert in the return to the pre-setting-figure derived from the flow diagram of lockshield insert.
