Here we used magnesium alloy, which is known for having a high specific strength (strength to weight ratio) among usable metals at industry level. This allowed us to make the housing thinner and achieve a lightweight headphone body that is approximately 10 %* lighter than before. For the voice coil, high grade OFC Litz cord is wrapped around the craft bobbins. This lightens the voice coil weight for high sound quality while simultaneously improving durability and providing a power handling capacity of 4, 000 mW.
