To light one of the burners on the hob: 1. Bring a flame or gas lighter close to the burner. Press the BURNER knob and turn it in an anticlockwise direction so that it is pointing to the maximum flame setting . Adjust the intensity of the flame to the desired level by turning the BURNER knob in an anticlockwise direction. If the flame is accidentally extinguished, switch off the burner and wait for at least 1 minute before attempting to relight it. The appliance is equipped with a flame failure safety device; press and hold the BURNER knob for approximately 2-3 seconds to keep the flame alight and to activate the device. To switch the burner off, turn the knob until it reaches the stop position •. Practical advice on using the burners For the burners to work in the most efficient way possible and in order to save on the amount of gas consumed, it is recommended that only pans which have a lid and a flat base are used. They should also be suited to the size of the burner. 7 G B • keep the knob pressed down for about 10 seconds; • release the knob, checking that the flame is stable. If it is not, repeat the operation; • gently close the oven door to avoid extinguishing the flame; • wait for about 10-12 minutes for the oven to heat up properly before inserting the food to be cooked; • set the required cooking temperature by adjusting the thermostat knob to a position between 1 and 10 according to the following table: Knob position Temperature °C 1 120 2 160 3 175 4 190 5 210 6 235 7 260 8 275 Oven lighting To switch on the oven light, press the key with the symbol . Timer This is a buzzer timer situated on the control panel and is suitable for timing up to a max. Turn the knob with the symbol until the pointer is aligned with the required time. When the set time has elapsed, a buzzer sounds (it does not cut off oven operation). It is advisable to turn the knob to 60 and then back to the time required, even if this is less than 60 minutes. Spit roast (only available in certain models) This accessory should only be used when cooking with the grill. Proceed as follows: thread the meat you wish to cook onto the rod positioned across the oven lengthwise, fixing it in place with the adjustable forks supplied. Position supports "A" and "B" in the relevant holes in dripping pan "E", rest the groove on the rod in slot "C" and use the guide rail to place the rack in the lowest position in the oven; next position the rod in the rotisserie spit hole, sliding the groove forwards to slot "D" (see figures). Start the rotisserie using the knob set to cooking mod ; Important: If a burner flame accidentally goes out, the gas continues to exit for a few moments before the safety device activates. Turn the control knob to the off position and do not attempt ignition again for at least 1 minute, thereby letting the gas disperse, which could otherwise be a danger. [. . . ] If the seals are damaged, please contact your nearest Authorised After-sales Service Centre. We recommend that the oven is not used until the seals have been replaced. GB Cleaning the appliance Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on the appliance. • The stainless steel or enamel-coated external parts and the rubber seals may be cleaned using a sponge which has been soaked in lukewarm water and neutral soap.
