Or, transmit your distress call using digital selective calling on Channel 70 (the optional DS-100 (#02) must be installed). USING CHANNEL 16 DISTRESS CALL PROCEDURE 1. EXAMPLE CAUTION: KEEP the transceiver and microphone at least 1 meter away from your vessel's magnetic navigation compass. NOTE: Check the installation angle; the function display may not be easy-to-read at some angles. 18 CONNECTIONS AND MAINTENANCE Using the optional mounting bracket An optional MB-69 FLUSH MOUNT is available for mounting the transceiver to a flat surface such as an instrument panel. 7 e Attach the clamps on either side of the transceiver with 2 supplied bolts (5 × 8 mm). · Make sure that the clamps align parallel to the transceiver body.
