When light is operating, the gas in the lamp inner arc tube is at high pressure. [. . . ] Metal Halide outer envelope is pressurized and could explode if broken. WARNING: UV hazard (Metal Halide Lamps Only) The type of lamp used in this fixture can cause serious skin burn and eye inflammation from short wave ultra violet radiation if outer envelope of the lamp is broken or punctured, and the arc tube continues to operate. Do not use where people will remain for more than a few minutes. Certain types of lamps that will automatically extinguish when the outer envelope is broken or punctured are commercially available. Remove Trunion Bolts and positioning screw to free Trunion Mounting Bracket. Install Trunion Mounting Bracket to desired location. Fixture should be horizontal when attached to mounting bracket. Remove lens cover and set aside to prevent damage during installation of fixture. Loosen (4) screws and remove reflector/lampholder assembly. Select appropriate fixture wire to match incoming voltage. To operate, restore power to the circuit and switch light on. CAUTION: (Metal Halide Lamps Only) Do not use lamp beyond manufactures rated life to reduce chance of lamp rupture. Turn lamp off at least once for 15 minutes per week to reduce chance of lamp rupture. COM X2 COM LAMP REPLACEMENT 1. 5. If within one (1) year from the date of purchase, this product fails due to a defect in material or workmanship, Intermatic Incorporated will repair or replace it, at its sole option, free of charge. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. This warranty does not apply to: (a) damage to units caused by accident, dropping or abuse in handling, acts of God or any negligent use; (b) units which have been subject to unauthorized repair, opened, taken apart or otherwise modified; (c) units not used in accordance with instructions; (d) damages exceeding the cost of the product; (e) sealed lamps and/or lamp bulbs; (f) the finish on any portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is considered normal wear and tear; (g) transit damage, initial installation costs, removal costs, or reinstallation costs. INTERMATIC INCORPORATED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
