Read the USB guidelines on the User's Manual CD for important information about USB compatibility. 
To view the User's Manual on the CD,  you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. 0 or higher or Netscape Navigator 4. 5 or higher installed on your system.

Insert the IomegaWare CD and install the software. 
Mac Users--to install the software,  double-click the Start Here icon. PC Users--if the IomegaWare program does not start up automatically,  refer to the User's Manual CD.  [. . . ] The PocketZip drive is now ready to use. 
Gently insert the disk (label side up) until it "clicks. " Mac Users --You should see the PocketZip drive icon on your desktop. PC Users Users--You should see the PocketZip drive icon in My Computer or Windows Explorer. Refer to "Troubleshooting" on the User's Manual CD if you cannot find the PocketZip drive icon.

CAUTION!Never insert the disk backwards (black tabs first). Always insert it label side up and rounded edge first.
