EXAMPLE ­ (bold type) indicates a specific remote control or front panel button, or rear panel connection jack EXAMPLE ­ (OCR type) indicates a message that is visible on the front panel information display 1 ­ (number in a square) indicates a specific front panel control on the DCR600 receiver ¡ ­ (number in a circle) indicates a rear panel connection on the DCR600 receiver 1D ­ (number followed by a capital "D" in a rectangle) indicates a specific front panel control on the DVD600 DVD changer ­ (number followed by a capital "D" in a circle) indicates a rear panel connection on the DVD600 DVD changer a ­ (number in an oval) indicates a button or indicator on the remote A ­ (letter in a square) indicates an indicator in the front panel display on the DCR600 receiver. ­ (letter with a prime in a square) indicates an indicator in the front panel display on the DVD600 DVD changer. 2 1 ­ (number in a triangle) indicates a specific indicator or control on the rear panel of the L25 subwoofer. re a d f i rs t ! Press the Set Button setting into the DCR600's memory. 41 REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS The JBL Cinema ProPack 600 is equipped with a powerful remote control that will control the functions of not only the DCR600 receiver and DVD600 DVD changer, but also most popular brands of audio and video equipment, including CD players, cassette decks, TV sets, cable boxes, VCRs, satellite receivers and other home-theater equipment. Ten blinks are used to indicate a "0. " Example: One blink, followed by a one-second pause, followed by six blinks, followed by a one-second pause, followed by ten blinks indicates that the code has been set to 160. For future reference, enter the Setup Codes for the equipment in your system here: Entering Product Codes This method is the easiest way to program your remote to work with different products. Use the tables on pages 27 to 36 to determine the three-digit code or codes that match both the product type (e. g. , VCR, TV) and the specific brand name. If there is more than one number for a brand, make note of the different choices. Turn on the unit you wish to program into the remote.
