Remove the metal strap attached the back of the unit (if attached). lift the top of the outer trim ring and pull to remove. Press the power button again to turn the unit off. Press SEL/MENU (5) repeatedly to step through the following sound adjustment options: Volume, Bass, Treble, Balance (left to right) and Fader (front to rear). when the desired option appears in the display , press VOL or VOL to adjust that audio feature. When no adjustments have been made for five seconds, the unit will resume normal operation. Press SEL/MENU (6) for more than three seconds to access the menu feature. Once this feature is activated, press SEL/MENU momentarily to step though the available menu options. When no adjustments have been made for five seconds, the unit will resume normal operation. The following options are controlled through the menu feature: Press SEL/MENU for more than three seconds to access the menu feature. When "BEEP ON/ OFF" appears in the display, press VOL or VOL to turn the audible beep on or off. When this feature is turned on, the unit will beep each time a button is pressed. Press and hold CHANNEL << or CHANNEL >> to fast forward or fast reverse through the disc. CD play starts when the button is released. Press and hold SCN (19) for more than three seconds during disc play to play the first 10 seconds of each track on the current disc. Press SCN again to end the scan and play the selected track. Press and hold RPT (20) for more than three seconds during disc play to continuously repeat the selected track. Press and hold SHF (21) for more than three seconds during disc play to play all tracks on a CD in random, shuffled order. Refer to the owner's manual included with the CD changer for instructions on installing, loading and using the CD magazine. When accessing CDC mode, disc play will begin with the first CD that the unit detects, and the disc and track numbers will be shown in the display. To select the desired disc for play, press SHIFT (22a) to enter shift mode, and press CHANNEL << or CHANNEL >> select the previous or next disc. As an alternate method, press DISC(22b) to move to the previous disc and DISC+ (22c) to move to the next disc. Pause, Track Select, Repeat, Random Shuffle and Preview Scan features during CDC operation are accessed using the same methods as for regular disc play. Attempting to use non-standard shape discs may damage the unit. Do not stick paper, tape or any other substance to either side of the CD, as it may cause the disc to malfunction.
