COFFEE READY Energy-saving mode In the programme item ECONOMY MODE you can permanently set an energy-saving mode (Energy Save Mode, E. S. M. ©): U U SAVE NO U All speciality coffees, speciality coffees with milk and hot water can be prepared without having to wait. U Before milk preparation, the machine heats up. SAVE YES (Energy saving of up to 40%) U Soon after the last preparation, the IMPRESSA stops heating up. As soon as the energy-saving temperature is reached, this is indicated in the display by the message ENERGY ON ­ this may last several minutes. U The machine starts up before coffee, hot water or milk preparation. Example: Proceed as follows to change the energy-saving mode from SAVE NO to SAVE YES. Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed. k T Press and hold the Rotary Switch until MAINTENANCE appears. g T Turn the Rotary Switch until ECONOMY MODE - is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. SAVE NO g T Turn the Rotary Switch until SAVE YES is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting. CONFIRMED appears briefly on the display. COFFEE READY 25 4 Permanent settings in programming mode Automatic switch-off By instructing your IMPRESSA to automatically switch itself off, you can cut down your energy consumption. If this function is activated, your IMPRESSA switches off automatically after the preset time following the last action on the machine. You can set the automatic switch-off time to 15 minutes or 0. 5­15 hours. Example: Proceed as follows to change the automatic switch-off from 2 H to 15 MIN. . Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed. k T Press and hold the Rotary Switch until MAINTENANCE appears. g T Turn the Rotary Switch until OFF AFTER 2 H is displayed. k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. OFF AFTER 2 H g T Turn the Rotary Switch until OFF AFTER 15 MIN. k T Press the Rotary Switch to confirm the setting. CONFIRMED appears briefly on the display.
