Bonjour! 10 GENERAL OPERATION - Using AV Equipment Connections The following is our recommended standard connection for AV equipment. There are various types of connections depending on the equipment which you have or its particular use. For further information please consult your local dealer. If you have a S-VHS type VCR, to obtain the best performance it should be connected to the AV2 terminal which has been specially designed for S-VHS. ENGLISH CABLE AV2 AV1 VCR1 (S-VHS) i If you do not have a 21 pin Scart cable, you can connect your VCR or other AV equipment via the aerial socket. The VCR should be tuned to programme position 0, this has been especially designed for VCR use. After the timer has been set, the TV begins the countdown from the set time period and carries out the set timer function when the time is up. The setting status of each timer can be confirmed by using the Timer menu. The remaining time of the on-timer and off timer can be displayed on the screen by pressing the i button, also any other functions which have been set will be shown, these are displayed each time you change the programme position. s Off timer setting The Off timer will switch into the standby mode when the set timer is up. s On timer setting The On-timer will switch on from the standby mode when the set timer is up. s Alarm timer setting The Alarm timer will display the time up sign on the screen and beeps when the set timer is up. The display changes is 15 minute steps and the maximum time period is 24:00 hours. The colour of the power indicator will change to yellow to show the Ontimer has been set.
