Basic MD Operations While playing an MD, you can do the following operations. Total Track No. Total Playing time (After a few seconds) To stop playback for a moment Press MD 6. To resume play, press MD 6 again. Playing time of the current track Current Track No. 19 To locate a particular point in a track During play, press and hold 4 or of the MD control. : Fast forwards the disc. Programming the Playing Order of the Tracks -- Program Play You can arrange the order in which the tracks play before you start playing. You can program up to 32 tracks. To go to another track Press 4 or of the MD control repeatedly before or during playback. 4 : Goes back to the beginning of the current or previous tracks. : Skips to the beginning of the next or succeeding tracks. Rotating MULTI JOG on the unit also changes the tracks. 1 Insert an MD. If the current playing source is not the MD recorder, press MD 6, then 7 of the MD control before going to the next step. 2 Press PLAY MODE so that "PROGRAM" appears in the main display. Each time you press the button, play mode changes as follows: PROGRAM RANDOM Canceled (Continuous play) To go to another track directly using the number buttons Pressing the number button(s) allows you to start playing the track number you want. The tracks are played in the order you have programed. To stop during play, press 7 of the MD control. To exit from Program play mode, press PLAY MODE once or twice so that the unit enters another playback mode (Random play or Continuous play mode). If you try to program a 33rd step "PROGRAM FULL" will appear on the display. If your entry is ignored You have tried to program a track that does not exist on the MD (for example, selecting track 14 on an MD that only has 12 tracks).
