[. . . ] · In case of accidental fall of the appliance it is necessary to have it checked by an authorized Service Centre as the internal safety features may have been affected. · If the appliance is dropped and shows signs of damage, do not use it but take it to a technical service centre. · In order to avoid prejudicing the safety of the appliance, use only original spare parts and accessories approved by the manufacturer. · Do not wind the power cable around the appliance, especially when the appliance is still hot. · During refilling water, switch off and disconnect the appliance from the mains. · It is necessary to keep the unit in horizontal position during operation. · Do not direct the steam jet on electrical appliances. · Leave the appliance to cool down before cleaning it. · Before storing the appliance be sure that it has completely cooled down. · This appliance is equipped with safety devices which are to be replaced only by a suitably qualified technician. · Do not direct the steam jet at people, animals or debris. · IMPORTANT NOTE: This product has been designed to work exclusively with demineralized water. Any limescale damage caused by the use of unsuitable 20 water is not covered by the guarantee. · Water, in nature, contains magnesium and mineral salts which aid limescale build-up. To avoid this residue may cause problems to your appliance, use demineralized water only. · Never use distilled water or scented water. · Close the cap on the tank (3a) and put the tank (3) back on the appliance, performing the same steps in reverse. · Connect the cable plug to an earthed power supply of the correct voltage. · Press the illuminated ON/OFF switch (2). · The noise you will hear during use is due to the water refilling system. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Before ironing a garment, it is always advisable to check the symbols and instructions on the label provided by the garment manufacturer. Check which kind of ironing is recommended, referring to the table below: Steam ironing allowed For dry ironing, set the iron temperature on ··· Steam ironing allowed For dry ironing, set the iron temperature on ·· Check the fabric's resistance to steam ironing, dry ironing allowed with temperature set on · - do not iron - steam ironing or treatment not allowed ENGLISH STEAM IRONING · Set the iron temperature on "COTTON LINEN" steam position (fig. · Wait until the steam ready indicator (5) comes on and the iron heating indicator (11) goes off (about 3 minutes). Push the steam request button (10) on the iron to release steam from the holes on the soleplate. Release the button and the steam flow stops. [. . . ] You may adjust steam intensity to 3 different levels: · Light steam: 1 indicator light (6a) on · Medium steam: 2 indicator lights (6a) on · Strong steam: 3 indicator lights (6a) on L O W WAT E R L E V E L The low water indicator (4) will flash when the water level is low. If no steam comes out when pressing the steam request button, this means that there is no more water in the tank. To keep on working, simply restore the water level in the self-refilling tank as described in the "Preparation for use" paragraph. CABLE WINDER Put away the iron when you have finished ironing.
