To prevent overloading a circuit, do not plug the heater into a circuit that already has other appliances working. It is normal for the plug to feel warm to the touch; however, a loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and distortion of the plug. [. . . ] 2 IT MAY BE TRIPPED OVER BY CHILDREN OR PETS. · The Tower Surround Heater is designed to disperse heat in either a 360° range or in one direction only. To select the desired heating mode, 360° Heating slide the Direction Control switch, located on the top of the heater, to the position of your choice (Fig. 2): ­ to the left ( ) for 360° Heating ­ to the right ( ) for Forward Only Heating (One Direction Heating) · With the Power knob in the OFF position, plug the heater into a polarized 120V outlet. DO NOT FORCE THE POLARIZED PLUG INTO THE OUTLET; it will only fit one way. · Turn the Thermostat control fully clockwise to the HIGH setting. · This heater is equipped with three (3) settings: High, Low and Fan Only. The High setting uses 1500 watts of power and the Low setting uses 750 watts of power. You can select the proper setting to accommodate your comfort level. Because the Low setting does not require as much electricity to operate, it is more energy efficient and may be a better option if you are concerned about the amperage draw on a circuit when the heater is in the High setting. · Turn the heater on using the Child Resistant Switch (Power knob). · Push down and turn the Power knob to OFF and unplug the heater when you are finished using it.
