[. . . ] The VICKS® Underarm Digital Thermometer is designed specifically for measuring underarm (axillary) temperatures of young children. It's perfect for children who are too old for rectal measurements yet too young to hold a thermometer in their mouth. Unlike regular thermometers, the unique ComfortDiscTM of the Vicks® Underarm Thermometer is designed to find the "hotspot" easily and comfortably every time. CHANGING THE BATTERIES The VICKS® Underarm Digital Thermometer features a long life, mercury free battery. When the " " appears in the lower right of the display, the battery is exhausted and needs replacing. With a coin or screwdriver, release cover lock located on the back of the thermometer and remove the battery with a non-metallic instrument. Keep out of reach of young children, elderly and pets. Replace with a type SR41 (long life), LR41, or equivalent, making sure the positive (+) side is facing the back of the thermometer. Your thermometer is now ready for use.
