Detergent dispenser drawer The dispenser is provided with 4 compartments marked with the following symbols: Prewash: symbol shows the compartment for the prewash detergent. Wash: symbol shows the compartment for the washing detergent. Fabric softener : symbol shows the compartment for the softening agents. 5. Temperature selector This control allows you to select the temperature of the washing cycle in accordance with the kind of clothes to be washed. Turn the control until the required temperature coincides with the marker. On the program table you will find the most appropriate temperature for each kind of washing. Selecting this for any program will be run with cold water. This will ensure savings in electricity consumption. 6. On/off lamp It lights up when the appliance is operating. To select the required program turn the control clockwise until the marker on the top coincides with the number of the required program (reference mark on the control panel). If by any chance you pass by the required number NEVER TURN THE CONTROL COUNTERCLOCKWISE just continue clockwise until the required number is reached again. 3. Rinse hold button (only for programmes 7 to 12) Pressing this button together with the programs for delicate fabrics, the water will remain in the wash tub at the end of the cycle. Press again to drain the water and take out the clothes. 4. 1/2 load button (only for programmes 1 to 4) Pressing this button before starting the intense program there will be one rinse less which leads to energy and water saving. 9 OPERATING SEQUENCE i Before executing the first wash with clothes we recommend to carry out the cleaning of the drum and the barrel by a special wash, without clothes. Pour a dose of detergent in the tray compartment corresponding to "Wash". Choose a program of 40° (Cotton, delicate colours). The on/off lamp will go on and the wash will begin. After the wash is finished the light will go off. Wait at least three minutes after the light goes off, before opening the door of the washing machine. 1. Loading the washing machine Load the laundry loosely, alternating large items with small ones. Do not overload the washing machine, but always try to use its fullest capacity in accordance with the type of fabric. [. . . ] When you need to start the machine up again, make sure that the room temperature is above 0°C. 16 Cleaning the filters The drain filter A clean filter is important for correct function of the washing machine, and it should therefore be cleaned regularly. Small objects left in the pockets and yarn accumulates here. Unscrew the filter completely turning it counterclockwise. Remove the filter and clean it under a fast running tap. [. . . ]
