Select the "STANDBY" display. · When the Security Code function is activated, "Security Set"/ "CODE SET" changes to "Security Clear"/ "CODE CLR". · To deactivate the Security Code function, see the next section <Deactivating Security Code>. 2 Enter Menu mode Press the [MENU] button for at least 1 second. When "MENU" is displayed, "Security Set"/ "CODE SET" is also displayed. In Standby mode 3 Enter Security Code mode Press the Control knob for at least 1 second. When "Enter"/ "ENTER" is displayed, "Security Set"/ "CODE" is also displayed. Deactivating Security Code To deactivate the Security Code function. 1 Select Security Code mode Push the Control knob towards [FM] or [AM]. Select the "Security Clear"/ "CODE CLR" display. 4 Select the digits to enter Push the Control knob towards [4] or [¢]. 2 Enter Security Code mode Press the Control knob for at least 1 second. When "Enter"/ "ENTER" is displayed, "Security Clear"/ "CODE" is also displayed. 5 Select the Security Code numbers Push the Control knob towards [FM] or [AM]. 6 Repeat steps 4 and 5, and complete the Security Code. 3 Select the digits to enter Push the Control knob towards [4] or [¢]. 7 Confirm the Security Code Press the Control knob for at least 3 seconds. When "Re-Enter"/ "RE-ENTER" is displayed, "Security Set"/ "CODE" is also displayed. 4 Select the Seciruty Code numbers Push the Control knob towards [FM] or [AM]. 5 Repeat steps 3 and 4, and complete the Security Code. 8 Do the step 4 through 7 operation, and reenter the Security Code. "Approved"/ "APPROVED" is displayed. The Security Code function activates. 6 Press the Control knob for at least 3 seconds. "Clear"/ "CLEAR" is displayed. The Security Code function deactivates. · If a wrong security code is entered, "Error"/ "ERROR" is displayed. Enter a correct security code. 9 Exit Security Code mode Press the [MENU] button.
