It can be used for simple point-topoint connections or can form a distribution backbone for sending up to 16 audio channels to multiple remote locations. K8-AO8 ARCHITECT & ENGINEERING SPECS The audio transport system shall carry 16 channels of digital audio integrated with bi-directional remote control and monitoring data over a single category 5 cable up to 200 meters in length without being actively refreshed. The digital audio format shall be uncompressed, 48kHz sampling rate, 24 bit quantization depth and shall have a total latency from analog to analog through the transport system of less than 0. 5 milliseconds. The system shall pass audio when powered up with no software configuration required. The output from the digital audio system shall be via an 8 channel analog decoder with XLR male connectors mounted in an EIA standard 1 unit rackmount case with universal voltage power supply.
