Do not place any object that weighs more than 3 kg on the Original Glass. In addition, do not press down hard on the book, as a damaged Original Glass could result. 3 Gently lower the Automatic Document Feeder or Original Cover. ?Is a thick book or object being copied? Let the copier scan the original without lowering the Automatic Document Feeder or Original Cover. Do not look directly at the Original Glass surface during a scanning sequence since a strong beam of light is emitted. This light beam is not, however, a laser beam and is not as dangerous. 4 Make the Dual Page setting. Either the paper source is selected automatically when the size of the original is detected, or you specify the specific paper source manually. G APS: When "APS" is selected, the tray containing the most suitable size of paper is selected based on the size of the original and the set zoom ratio. Manual paper selection: The tray containing the paper you want to use can be manually selected. G Note The copier must be equipped with an Automatic Document Feeder to use "APS". Using "APS" 1 Load the originals in the Automatic Document Feeder.
