CN3101e 7-41 7 l Direct Input Settings and Operations for Scan Functions The address used in Scan to E-mail can be directly input from the control panel of the copier, instead of using the one-touch key or one time key. 1 2 Press the Scan key on the copier. Select "Direct. " 3 4 Select "E-MAIL. " Using keys on the control panel and 10-Key Pad, type the e-mail address of the destination. Set the following items. m m m m m Scan Size: Set the scanning size for the document. Or, specify any given size (in mm or 1/16"). Resolution: Select the scanning resolution. Setting values: 600, 400, 300, 200 dpi File Format: Select the format, with which the file to be transmitted is stored. Setting values: TIFF, PDF, JPEG Color Mode: Set the scanning color mode. Setting values: Full Color, Gray Scale, Monochrome, Auto Color Background Remove: Set background removal. l Specifying the Document Set the type of the document to be scanned. 1 2 3 Press the Scan key on the copier. Select the "Document Set" tab. Set the following items. m m m Original Direction: Set the placement direction of the document. Setting values: Not selected (Auto detect), Portrait documents "Place Horizontally, " "Place vertically, " Landscape documents "Place Horizontally, " "Place Vertically. " Doc. Setting values: 1, 2, Book Mixed Original Detection: For scanning different sized documents, select "Mixed Original Detection" key. Select the "Send" tab to check the settings made for Scan to E-mail. 3 Select the "Subject/From" tab to check the data set for "SUBJECT" and "FROM" (sender's address). 4 Select the "Contents" tab to check the message of the e-mail. 5 Select the "Send" tab then "Detail" to check the e-mail address of the sender.
