This User's Guide contains descriptions of the network scanning functions and operations that can be used from optional C450/C351 image controller IC-402 and the network functions that can be used from the copier when the IC-402 is installed. To ensure the best possible performance and most effective use of the machine, read this manual thoroughly. [. . . ] The image controller administrator password is required to access the "admin" user box. However, the "operator" and "guest" user boxes do not require a password for access. If it is not permitted, specify the setting that allows transmissions with the TCP/IP protocol. 2 Note In order to specify an FTP destination as a host name when scanning, the DNS setting must have been specified in the image controller's setup screen. In the setup screen for the image controller, select [Network Setup ]­ [Protocol Setup] ­ [TCP/IP Setup] ­ [DNS Setup] to specify the setting.
