Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] ⷠThe camera is dropped or subjected to an impact in which the interior is exposed. ⷠThe product emits a strange smell, heat, or smoke. Electric shock may occur if a high voltage circuit inside the camera is touched. Take your camera to a Minolta Service Facility when repairs are required. [. . . ] Your camera uses one 3-volt CR123A lithium battery to supply power for all camera operations. Insert the new battery into the battery chamber end first (C). If blinks in the data panel with the other indicators, the battery will need to be replaced soon. If all indicators blink in the data panel or the camera will not function with a fresh battery, remove the battery, wait a few seconds, then reinsert it. To save power, your camera will shut down and the data panel indicator will disappear if it is not operated for more than 3 minutes. Turn the camera off and then back on to restore power. When film is in the camera, turn the camera off before removing the battery. Insert a new battery immediately after removing the old battery. If these steps are not followed, your camera may advance the film several frames, and reset the frame counter to one. Do not use Polaroid instant films in this camera. Make sure is displayed in the frame counter, then slide the back-cover release down to open the back cover (D). Position the film between the film guide rails, so that it lays flat, or a film transport error may occur (G). ⷠIf the film tip extends beyond the film-leader index, gently push the excess film back into the film cartridge. Looking through the viewfider, center your subject in the focus frame (H). When taking vertical pictures, hold the camera so the flash is on top. When the ready lamp glows, press the shutterrelease button all the way down with a slow steady squeeze to take the picture (J). Wait for the lamp to glow brightly, then take the picture. Your camera will not take a picture until the flash is charged. Focus Hold Subjects outside the focus frame may not be in focus. When the ready lamp glows, without lifting your finger, recompose your picture (L). [. . . ] The self-timer delays release of the shutter for approximately 10 seconds after the shutter-release button is pressed. The self-timer lamp will blink slowly during the countdown, then rapidly, and then glow just before the shutter releases. ⷠSelf-timer mode is canceled after the picture is taken. ⷠTo cancel the self-timer, press the self-timer button again or turn the camera OFF.
