[. . . ] Loads connected to the BATTERY SAVER HO are energized from the vehicle's battery when the A. C. power is applied, the power supply provides 12 volts D. C. [. . . ] and the relay transfers the loads to the power supply. Thus there is no drain on the battery and the entire output of the vehicle's battery charger is available to charge the battery.
INSTALLATION 1. Mount the BATTERY SAVER HO in a convenient location with 4 screws in the mounting holes provided. Be certain that adequate ventilation is available and that the unit is not subject to water damage. input power to the BATTERY SAVER HO through the 3 wire line cord provided. This should energize the power supply and the loads. If the loads are energized, then the power supply is functioning correctly. Now reconnect the wires to BAT 1, 2 on the terminal strip . This is important!
