Congratulations on your purchase of the Infrared Thermometer!No surface contact required, prevents contamination. Take a Measurement: Place the thermometer close to the item to measure. [. . . ] Change low batteries as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by a leaking battery. Wear chemical resistant protective gloves and safety glasses when changing the battery. Care and Maintenance: Do not place the instrument near extreme temperature, vibration or shock. Protect the unit from large abrupt temperature changes. Do not store near objects of high temperature. Water can penetrate and cause malfunction. Steam, dust, some can prevent accurate measurement by obstructing the units optics.
Protect the unit from EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) from induction heaters and microwave ovens and static discharge. Unauthorized repairs, modifications or changes to the unit are prohibited. This product is not for medical purpose or for public information, but is intended for home use. The product is not recommended for taking body temperature.
Cleaning: The sensor lens is the most delicate part of the thermometer. If the unit is very dirty, slightly dampen the cloth. Make sure that no moisture enters the interior of the unit. When cleaning the lens, loose particles must be removed using compressed air. Any remaining dirt can be removed with a soft brush or with a cotton swab moistened with water. CAUTION Do not use cleaners containing solvents. Remove the battery if you do not use the product for a lengthy time.
