Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. [. . . ] Max/min key to toggle the low temperature alarm on ( icon blinking) or off (no icon). Press Set oC/oF key to confirm: the low temperature in degrees will blink. Max/min key to set the low temperature value (only if the low temperature alarm is on). Press Set oC/oF key to confirm: the low humidity icon will blink. Max/min key to toggle the low humidity alarm on ( icon blinking) or off (no icon). The humidity level ranges from 20 to 89%. Press Set oC/oFkey to confirm: le low humidity level in % will blink. Max/min key to set the low humidity value (only if the low humidity alarm is on). Press Set oC/oF key to confirm all your settings. There are 2 different types of alarm: the daily alarm, which will sound everyday at the same time, and the hourly chime, which will beep every time an hour as elapsed. Max/min key to select the different alarms: To turn on the daily alarm only: . To turn on both the daily alarm and the hourly chime : + . During 5 seconds after each sampling time (15 seconds). Your unit indicates the temperature inside or outside. Press 5 times on the Mode key to enter indoor / outdoor temperature mode. Max/min key to choose between the display of the indoor or the outdoor temperature on the LCD screen (the corresponding or icon will blink). Press Mode key to confirm and go back to time mode display screen. Press 4 times on the Mode key to enter High Temperature/Humidity Alarm Mode (indicated by the and icons on right side of the screen). Press and hold the Set oC/oF key to enter High Temperature/Humidity Alarm setting mode: the icon will blink. Max/min key to toggle the high temperature alarm on ( icon blinking) or off (no icon). Max/min key to toggle the high humidity alarm on ( icon blinking) or off (no icon). Press Set oC/oF key to confirm: le high humidity level in % will blink. [. . . ] Never immerse in water and protect from rain and extreme temperatures. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or to any other source of heat. Do not drop the unit or subject it to strong impacts. To avoid damage caused by leakage of the battery fluid, replace batteries once every two years regardless of how much the unit has been used during that time. [. . . ]
