CONTROLS FOR REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT For colder temperatures, adjust the control knob to MAX, and for warmer temperatures, adjust the control knob to MIN position. CONTROLS FOR FREEZER COMPARTMENT TEMP. CONTROL - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Setting at "7", the freezer compartment becomes colder. But the refrigerator compartment becomes warmer because less cold air flows into the refrigerator compartment. In cold weather the unit operates less and the freezer compartment has a tendency to warm up. CONTROL to "6"~"7". 5 4 3 2 1 If you take a lot of foods in the freezer or open its door frequently, its temperature is apt to be somewhat higher. CONTROL dial between 6 and 7 to cool it. CONTROL dial to the original position to cut down the consumption of energy. In hot weather or to put much foods in the refrigerator compartment, the refrigerator compartment has a tendency to warm up. CONTROL to "2"~"4" to direct more cold air into the refrigerator compartment. Setting at "6"~"7" of the TEMP. CONTROL, the refrigerator compartment will not be cold enough. 6 OPERATION ICE MAKING Determine which type ice-making system you have. General Type G Ice Trays Ice Cube Box To make ice cubes, fill the ice tray with water and place it on the ice cube box. Then insert the ice cube box in the freezer compartment. G To remove ice cubes, hold the tray at its ends and twist gently. Twisting Ice Serve Type G To make ice cubes, fill the ice tray with water and insert in its position. Ice Trays To remove ice cubes, hold the knob of the tray and turn gently. Then, ice cubes drop in the ice cube box. You can remove the Twisting Ice Serve to make the freezer compartment larger. You should remove the ice Trays and Ice Cube Box first, then pull the frame out toword the right side. Frame Ice Cube Box G G G 7 OPERATION CHILLED COMPARTMENT When the door is opened, the warmer air doesn't influence the fresh meat. You can keep food fresher in it. DEFROSTING G G Defrosting takes place automatically. The defrosted water flows down to the evaporating tray which is located in the lower back side of the refrigerator and is evaporated automatically. DEODORIZER (OPTIONAL) G G By using a catalyst, deodorizing performance is guaranteed. Unpleasant odor of food in the fresh food compartment is deodorized with no harm to you and the food. How to use G As the catalyst is located in cooling air outlet for circulating air in fresh food compartment, there is no need to touch it. Do not puncture the cooling air outlet with a sharp tip because the deodorizing catalyst may be damaged. When storing food with a strong odor, wrap it or store it in a container with a lid because the odor may be absorbed by other foods. G G 8 SUGGESTIONS ON FOOD STORAGE STORING FOOD G Store fresh food in the refrigerator compartment. How food is frozen and thawed is an important factor in maintaining its freshness and flavor.
