Makethefollowingsettingsforthebuilt-in5. 1 channelsurrounddecoder. Select[5. 1SpeakerSetup]onthe[Audio]menu. The[5. 1SPEAKER]appears.
[Speaker] Selectaspeakerthatyouwanttoadjust. Certainspeakersettingsareprohibitedbythe DolbyDigitallicensingagreement. [Size] Sincethespeakersettingsarefixed, youcannot changethesettings. [Volume] PressADtoadjusttheoutputlevelofthe selectedspeaker.

FrontL/R:0--5 SubWoofer, RearL/R, Center:5--5 [Distance] Afteryouconnectedspeakerstoyourunit, settheDistancebetweenthespeakersand yourlisteningpointifthedistanceofCenter orRearspeakersisbiggerthanthedistance ofFrontspeakers. Thisallowsthesoundfrom eachspeakertoreachthelisteneratthesame time. PressADtoadjusttheDistanceofthe selectedspeaker. Thisdistanceisequivalentto adifferenceofthedistancebetweenCenteror RearspeakerandFrontspeakers. [Test] Select[SpeakerTestStart]byusingtheWS andpressbENTER. PressbENTERagainto stop. Adjustthevolumetomatchthevolume oftestsignalsmemorizedinthesystem.

SometimesDigitalTVencountersadelaybetween pictureandsound. Ifthishappensyoucan compensatebysettingadelayonthesoundso thatiteffectively`waits'forthepicturetoarrive: thisiscalledHDAVSync. UseWS(ontheremote control)toscrollupanddownthroughthedelay amount, whichyoucansetatanythingbetween0 and300msec.

Initial Setting the Area Code:
Whenyouusethisunitforthefirsttime, youhave tosettheAreaCode. Toaccessthe[Lock]options, youmustinputthe passwordyouhavecreated. Inputapassword andpressbENTER. Enteritagainandpressb ENTERtoverify. Ifyoumakeamistakebefore pressingbENTER, pressCLEAR. PressbENTERandselectthesecondcharacter usingWSbuttons. PressbENTERtoconfirmyourAreacode selection.
Semi Karaoke
Whenachapter/title/trackisfullyfinished, this functionshowsthescoreinthescreenwitha fanfaresound. [On] Whenyoufinishedsingingascorewillappear onthescreen. [Off] Fanfareandscoredonotappearsonthe screen. D y VD, DVDKaraokediscswithmorethan 2tracksareavailablediscsforthethis function.
