Disposal notes Safety instructions and warnings Range of appliance use The appliance is suited only for cooling food. In the case of commercial food cooling, the pertinent statutory regulations have to be observed. [. . . ] The quantity of refrigerant used in your appliance is indicated on the type plate on the inside of the appliance. · Do not connect the appliance to the supply with other equipment using an extension cable - risk of overheating. Setting up Switching the appliance on and off GB You are recommended to clean the appliance before switching it on for the first time (see "Cleaning"). · The temperature display D shows the set interior temperature (on left for refrigerator, on right for freezeer). · The red visual warning light comes on. The visual warning light goes out as soon as the freezer compartment is cold enough. To switch the appliance off: Disconnect the appliance from the mains or set the freezer temperature control to "0". The LED's in the display will go out - the entire appliance will be switched off. To switch the appliance on: Connect the appliance to the mains - the appliance is switched on. To switch the refrigerator compartment off: Set the refrigerator temperature control to "0". The LED's on the left of the display will go out - the refrigerator compartment will be switched off. The freezer compartment will remain on. Connecting to the mains Power supply (a. c. ) and voltage at the operating point must comply with the details on the type plate, which is located in the refrigerator compartment on the left-hand side. The socket must be fused with a 10 A fuse or higher, it must be away from the rear of the appliance and must be easily accessible. Connect the appliance with a properly earthed fused plug and socket only. Temperature control Refrigerator Temperature control Freezer Dimensions Setting the temperature Turn the temperature control to set the desired temperature (on left for refrigerator, on right for freezeer). The display of the set temperature in display D changes in accordance with the temperature setting. NB: The temperature shown on the display is not the current temperature inside the appliance but the set temperature. The appliance is equipped with an alarm function. Audible warning on/off button If the temperature in the freezer compartment rises too high, the audible warning signal will sound and the LED in the audible warning on/off button will flash. The voltage should agree with the details on the type plate. Replacing the bulb: Pull out the mains plug or remove/unscrew the fuse. Interior light Freezing The maximum amount of food wich can be frozen in 24 hours is shown on the type plate ("Freezing capacity". This amount varies according to the model and climate rating. The Superfrost facility automatically switches the fast freezing procedure off after 65 hours. Freezing · · · · · Press the light cover together at the sides 1, lift out and unclip at the back 2. When inserting the new bulb, make sure the seal is correctly positioned in the socket. · Clip the back end of the cover in and clip the sides into place. You should not switch on the Superfrost function: - when placing frozen food in the freezer; - when freezing up to approx. 1 kg fresh food daily. 10 Notes on freezing and storage · Pack food which you are freezing yourself in quantities appropriate to your household. To ensure that the food freezes right through, the following quantities should not be exeeded per package: fruit, vegetables: up to 1 kg, meat: up to 2, 5 kg. · Pack frozen food in standard freezer bags or reuseable plastic, metal or aluminium containers. · Do not allow fresh food which is to be frozen to come into contact with food already frozen. Always keep packs dry in order to avoid them sticking together. [. . . ] Do not use any mechanical devices or other artificial aids for defrosting other than those recommended by the manufacturer. After the appliance has been in operation for some time, a layer of frost or ice will form on the inside walls. You should therefore defrost the appliance regularly.
