[. . . ] Intended Use For use with the OneTouch® SelectTM Blood Glucose Meter to check that the meter and test strips are working together properly and that you are performing the test correctly. Summary and Explanation OneTouch® SelectTM Control Solution contains a known amount of glucose that reacts with OneTouch® SelectTM Test Strips. The test result you obtain should fall within the range of results that you will find printed on the vial of the test strips that you are using. [. . . ] Write the discard date (date opened plus three months) in the space provided on the vial label. â· Do Not use after the expiration or discard date, whichever comes first. M CAUTION: Do Not swallow control solution; it is not for human consumption. Do Not apply control solution to the skin or eyes as it may cause irritation. Storage and Handling Close the bottle tightly and store at room temperature below 86°F. Test Procedure Read the instructions carefully in your owner's booklet to perform the control solution test. Materials provided: OneTouch® SelectTM Control Solution Materials required but not provided: your meter, owner's booklet, OneTouch® SelectTM Test Strips Follow these steps whenever you test with OneTouch® SelectTM Control Solution: 1. Control solution tests must be done at room temperature (68Â77°F). Make sure your meter, test strips, and control solution are at room temperature before testing. Shake the control solution vial well before testing. Discard the first drop of control solution you squeeze out and wipe the dispenser tip. Be sure that APPLY CONTROL appears on the meter display before applying control solution to the test strip. Your OneTouch® SelectTM Test Strips have two control ranges printed on the vial. Be sure to compare the result to the correct control range. Tightly close the cap on the control solution vial immediately after use to avoid contamination. each vial contains sufficient volume for a minimum of 75 tests.
