Assembly
Please do not place your iPhone® or iPod touch® into the Premium Car Kit until after the Premium Car Kit has been assembled. 

Assembly. Do not tighten the retaining ring. 

Retaining Ring

Cradle holder

Press the unlock button and raise the retaining arm all the way to the top. 

Insert your iPhone or iPod touch into the Premium Car Kit. Slide your iPhone or iPod touch
into the connector on the bottom of the Premium Car Kit and then gently push your iPhone or iPod touch towards the Premium Car Kit.  [. . . ] Press the Premium Car Kit base firmly against the windshield or dash surface. Push the suction cup arm down,  locking the Premium Car Kit to the surface. 

Apply Power
Connect the USB end of the power cable to the Premium Car Kit. Connect the other end of the cable to a vehicle power receptacle. 

Final Adjustment
Reinstall your iPhone into the Premium Car Kit and adjust for proper viewing. When making viewing adjustments,  always hold the assembly by the Premium Car Kit and never by the iPhone or iPod touch. Make any final adjustments for proper viewing and tighten the retaining ring. 

Bluetooth®
Bluetooth Pairing (iPhone)
When the Premium Car Kit is first powered on,  Bluetooth is automatically set to discovery mode and ready to pair with a new device. Connect the Magellan Premium Car Kit to power. In the iPhone Settings Menu,  make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Once the Searching for Devices is complete,  select the "Magellan Car Kit". If prompted,  enter the code "1234". Magellan Premium Car Kit will connect with your iPhone. Once paired,  the Magellan Premium Car Kit will automatically connect with the iPhone when it is in range.

Bluetooth Pairing (IPod touch and External Cell Phone)
The Magellan Premium Car Kit does NOT pair with the iPod touch Bluetooth. It pairs only with a Bluetooth enabled cell phone. Connect the Magellan Premium Car Kit to power. In the Bluetooth menu for your cell phone begin searching for devices. Once the Searching for Devices is complete,  select the "Magellan Car Kit". If prompted,  enter the code "1234".  [. . . ] (Discovery mode is active for the first 5 minutes that power is applied to the Premium Car Kit. ) Flashing once every 10 seconds --- Idle and unable to pair. (Note: if the status indicator shows idle,  the user must remove the power cable from the Premium Car Kit and then reapply power to put it back in Discovery mode. ) Solid --- Paired and connected to a phone Off --- No power to the Magellan Premium Car Kit.
