Verify that the oil level is within the upper and lower limit marks on the oil level gauge. If the oil is not up to the 100mL level, fill up with new oil. Adding Oil: Set the blower down on a level surface and remove the oil cap. Fill the oil up to the upper limit of the oil level gauge. 2) On average, engine oil normally needs to be added after every 20 hours of operation. This interval for every change in oil corresponds to refueling the blower approximately 10-15 times. 3) Please change the oil whenever it becomes dirty or significantly changes color. Recommended oil: Makita genuine oil or SAE10W-30 oil of API type SF grade or better (4 stroke motor oil for automobiles) Oil capacity: Approximately 0. If the blower is not stored in an upright position, the oil may flow from the level gauge into the engine and give a false reading when checking the oil level. The tank cap is consumable, and therefore should be renewed every two to three years. Never attempt engine start in a place where the fuel has been supplied. When starting the engine, keep a distance of at least 3 m. Exhaust gas from the engine has toxic consequences.
