A wrench or a key that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool may result in personal injury. Failure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury. [. . . ] Do not let the tool fall into wet concrete. Insert the vibrating head carefully between iron/ steel frames or reinforcing rods not to come in contact with them. Use a wet cloth or the like to carefully wipe off any wet concrete left on the tool after use. Extra care should be given to thorough cleaning of the vents, switch area, cover openings, etc. WARNING: MISUSE or failure to follow the safety rules stated in this instruction manual may cause serious personal injury. Tool service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result in a risk of injury. When servicing a tool, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions in the Maintenance section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance instructions may create a risk of shock or injury. ENC004-1 Before using battery cartridge, read all instructions and cautionary markings on (1) battery charger, (2) battery, and (3) product using battery. It may result in a risk of overheating, possible burns and even an explosion. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them out with clear water and seek medical attention right away. DO NOT let comfort or familiarity with product (gained from repeated use) replace strict adherence to concrete vibrator safety rules. If you use this tool unsafely or incorrectly, you can suffer serious personal injury. Always keep your hands and face away from vibrating head when operating. Switch off the tool immediately if you notice abnormal noise or something faulty during operation. Always cover the battery terminals with the battery cover when the battery cartridge is not used. Do not short the battery cartridge: (1) Do not touch the terminals with any conductive material. A battery short can cause a large current flow, overheating, possible burns and even a breakdown. Do not store the tool and battery cartridge in locations where the temperature may reach or exceed 50°C (122°F). Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even if it is severely damaged or is completely worn out. [. . . ] Should any trouble develop during this one year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers. If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at our option, replace) without charge.
