A light brown c l u o (the insulator) indicates that engine working conditions are generally correct oor f correct. Sooty black mat d p s t , dry (to the touch), are a sign that working temperature is too low, i. Be sure that the 4V reference mark made on the camshaft control pulley is aligned with the reference point on the head (F. If the reference mark is on the opposite side of the index made on the head, rotate the driving shaft again. -The TDC reference mark is repeated between the cooling fan and the cover of the flywheel. To use this reference mark, remove the spark plug and rotate the engine in the direction opposite to the normal rotation, by means of a compass wrench applied to the bell of the camshaft control pulley. [. . . ] Values higher than 12, 5% are considered as correct. Values which do not comply with are a sign of a lack of sealing on the exhaust system. -Unburnt hydrocarbons (HC) are measured in parts per million (PPM): the HC value decreases with the rpm increasing. With idle engine, it is normal to have values of 200 ÷ 400 PPM; this emission values have to be considered as normal for an engine with a motorcycle timing diagram. [. . . ]
