The basic power management settings can be found under the following in Windows operating systems: <Settings> <Power Options>. If you have questions, use the Windows Help function. Here you can set the behavior separately for various battery charge levels. Standby: ­ low energy consumption ­ The display is dimmed and the hard disk remains unchanged. By pressing the on/off button, the computer returns to the normal operating state. All open documents or applications become available again when the computer is switched on. This would deactivate the slot and problems could arise from a modified system configuration the next time you start up the computer. UK Automatic light sensor The device features an in-built automatic light sensor. When the notebook is switched on, the brightness of the display is automatically adjusted to the surrounding light conditions.
