[. . . ] The operating system of the PC, further application programs and backup files are located on the hard drive and reduce its total capacity. The hard drive is addressed as drive C and D. Note Never switch off the computer while the busy indicator is lit since this may result in loss of data. Usually your hard disk is divided into more partitions, but there can also be some minor variations. In your first partition (Boot) you will find your operating system, application programs and the users' documents and settings. The backup files are also found here (D:\Recover). They allow you to reset your computer to its original factory-set configuration.
