Do not fill the jug kettle with less than 0. 6 l and more than 1. 7 l. The appliance may overheat, if the water level is too low. Boiling water may splash, if the water level is too high. Do not open the lid while the water is boiling. Use the jug kettle only with the proper base. Do not move the appliance and do not pull the main cable when operating the appliance. Do not operate the appliance if the jug kettle, the base or the connection cable show visible damages. The hotplate requires an extended cooling time. Therefore premature touching may cause burns!The appliance must not be treated with hard objects or strong cleaning agents. Even though the jug kettle is equipped with a rundry protection it must never be operated without water. Once the run-dry protection has switched off the appliance let the jug kettle cool down for at least 15 minutes before filling it again with water. Even the connection cable must not be replaced by the user. Have only service shops or the Medion Service Center carry out repairs of electric appliances and their connection cables. Improper repairs may be of considerable risk to the user. The appliance is designed for private use. When passing the appliance on to another person also hand over the operating instructions.
