Instant Talk allows you to answer a call by just removing the handset from the base so you don't have to waste time pushing buttons. Auto Disconnect allows you to hang up by simply returning the handset to the base. The Mega Clear true compander circuitry virtually eliminates background noise. [. . . ] If you enter a 3-digit area code number in the Area Code option, your local area code does not appear in Caller ID messages. When reviewing Caller ID messages, you will see only the local seven digit number. For calls received from outside your local area code, you will see a full 10-digit number. Using the incoming call information (i. e. , Caller ID list), the phone number of the party on the Caller ID list can be stored in memory dialing. 1 2 Press . Display the phone number to be stored from the Caller ID list. (See page 30. ) 3 Press . 4 5 Press or to select the memory location where you wish to store the name and number from the Caller ID list. Press the number keypad ( ) and select the number (0-9). The number is stored in memory, and the display returns to the Caller ID list. Notes · If a message has already been stored in the selected memory location, a verification screen is displayed.
