Activating the alarm system The alarm system is always active. It does not have to be switched on manually. Temperature alarm The alarm will sound if the temperature in one of the zones rises approx. The relevant temperature display will flash at the same time. Stainless steel surfaces can be treated using a conditioning agent for stainless steel such as Neoblank (available for the Miele UK Spare Parts Department). Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Make sure that no water can penetrate into the electronic unit or into the lighting. Do not let water get into the drainage channel and drain hole when cleaning. Do not use steam cleaning apparatus to clean the appliance. Steam could reach the electrical components and cause a short circuit. The data plate located inside the appliance must not be removed.
