This places your eyes at the correct distance from the eyepiece lens. If you wear glasses, push in the eyepiece tubes. This allows you to see the full field of view without vignetting at the edges. We therefore recommend removing finger marks, dust and stains using a soft-haired brush or a cotton cloth that has been washed several times.
