[. . . ] DATA SHEET MITEL Line Interface Module Provides Teleworkers with Local Emergency Access Mitel® Line Interface Module ensures mission-critical enterprises always have voice communications. [. . . ] It works as a convenient solution that enables remote workers and teleworkers to have local calling capability and access to local emergency services. If something should happen to the network, DSL services or even the local router, teleworkers still have uninterrupted access to voice communications. Line Interface Module is, in essence, a low-cost disaster recovery solution for converged, mission-critical environments of any kind. Key Features · User selection of either local area network (LAN) or PSTN from a single desktop device · Emergency call ability to local emergency services when used in remote / teleworker locations · Privacy mode option in shared analog line scenarios · Phone automatically connects to PSTN upon a LAN failure · Allows IP phones to connect to an analog trunk to allow users to make and receive calls · User selectable: will allow a user to select a PSTN line to make and receive phone calls on an analog line without disconnecting from the IP connection · In failover mode the IP phone will automatically switch to analog mode · Installs into the module compartment of a 5224, 5235, 5324, 5330, 5340 or 5360 IP Phone · Analog mode supports basic phone operation, handset and dial pad functionality Power Configuration Line Interface Module utilizes Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802. 3af). Local 24 V DC power adapter for the 5220 and 5224 IP Phones or 48 V DC Ethernet power adapter (purchased separately) for the 5235, 5324, 5330, 5340, and 5360 IP Phones is recommended for teleworker or remote use.
