[. . . ] Insert a battery size 9 volts PP3/6LR61 (Ensure battery is inserted correctly) Replace the battery compartment cover. Power on and off The unit must be switched on before the radio can operate. 1 Switch the unit on by pressing the RADIO ON button (7). 2 Press the OFF button (5) to switch off the radio. Setting the clock alarm time The alarm function can be set to operate on the following functions: wake up to two different alarm times which you can choose to use independently or simultaneously. Set alarm 1 1 Press and hold the ALARM 1 button (14) and simultaneously hold down the FAST FORWARD button (15) or SLOW REVERSE button (16). [. . . ] After 7 minutes the alarm will sound again. 1 When the alarm or buzzer sounds press the SNOOZE button (10). (The snooze default is set for 7 minutes and then resumes). Listening to the radio 1 2 3 4 5 Press the RADIO ON button (7) Slide the waveband switch (4) to either the FM or MW position. Turn the tuning control (6) and tune to the desired station. Adjust the volume control (3) to the desired level. Press the OFF button (5) to turn off the radio. The snooze function will cease to operate after 59 minutes. Sleep function The sleep function sets the unit to play the radio whilst you go to sleep and will switch off after a set time. 1 Slide the waveband switch (4) to FM or MW. 2 To use the sleep facility press the SLEEP button (9), (The sleep default is set for 59 minutes after which time the unit will automatically switch off). 3 The sleep time can be varied between 59 minutes to 1 minute. 4 To set your own sleep time, press the SLEEP button (9) together with the FAST FORWARD button (15) or the SLOW REVERSE button (16) will adjust the minute segments. 5 Release the buttons when the required sleep time is reached. 6 If you want to turn off the music before the end of the programme press the OFF button (5). When the sleep time has expired the radio will switch off. To obtain the maximum reception fully extend the wire FM aerial which is located at the rear of the unit and alter the direction of the wire for best results. The aerial for the MW waveband is located inside the unit. To obtain, the maximum MW reception rotate your clock radio. Setting the alarm to wake to radio 1 2 3 4 Set the radio as described `listening to the radio' above. Slide the alarm selector switch (19 or 22 ) to the radio position. Once the Alarm switch has been activated the ALARM indicator AL1 (18) and/or AL2 indicator (21) will illuminate. To stop listening to the radio press the OFF button (5). Built in Halogen reading lamp 1 2 The lamp can be adjusted up and down by using the telescopic arms (25). The angle can be altered by using the angle adjuster (26). The lamp can be switched on and off by the on/off switch (1). Ensure the radio station will be transmitting at the preset alarm time. Cancelling the alarm (either set to radio or buzzer) The alarm is programmed to run for 59 minutes. 1 2 3 Press the SNOOZE button (10) to stop the alarm temporarily, the alarm will sound again in 7 minutes. To cancel the alarm press the OFF button (5).
