[. . . ] Select the sound source (CD, Radio or Aux) by pressing corresponding function key. The corresponding display will light up. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME (UP or DOWN) button. Adjust the variable bass control knob to alter the bass. [. . . ] 6 To program more stations into memory, repeat the above steps 2 to 5. 7 To change the stored preset stations, repeat the above steps 2 to 5. 8 Notes: 1 Storing a new station into a preset location will erase the previously stored station in that location. 2 Power off / failure or power cord disconnection will clear the memory of all preset stations. Perform the station presetting procedures again to store the stations. Selecting the preset stations 1 2 3 Press the STOP / BAND (MW / FM) button to select the desired band. Press REPEAT / MEMORY button to select the desired preset station number. The numeric location of that preset station is displayed along with the corresponding frequency. FM Antenna Fully extend the FM antenna wire for better FM reception. FM stereo reception For reception of FM stereo broadcast station, set the stereo/mono switch to stereo. The ` ' stereo indicator will indicate on the LCD display when a FM broadcast is being received. Listening to compact disc (CD) Press the CD button to select the CD operation. 1 Open by pressing the front of the lid, place the CD in the compartment and close the lid by pressing down until it clicks into place. (The display will show the number of tracks and total duration of CD). Playing the entire disc 1 Playback will start by pressing PLAY / PAUSE, the indicator then appears. The display shows the current track number and its elapsed time. 9 2 3 4 To interrupt playback, press PLAY / PAUSE. To resume playback, press PLAY / PAUSE again. To stop playback, press STOP. Selecting a different track 1 2 Press SKIP UP / DOWN button on the unit (or remote), until the required track number appears in the display. Press PLAY / PAUSE button to start play. Skipping / reverse during playback 1 2 Press and hold the TRACK / TUNE UP or DOWN button to skip or reverse within a track. Press and release the TRACK / TUNE UP or DOWN button to fast forward or reverse to the next or previous track. Repeat play 1 2 3 When playing CD, if you wish to repeat the same track, press REPEAT button once and the "REPEAT" display will light up and flash. If you want to repeat all, press the REPEAT button twice and the "REPEAT" display will light up and will not flash. To cancel repeat play, press the STOP button or press REPEAT button until the repeat indicator disappears. Stopping play 1 2 Press STOP if you wish to stop play. The disc and track number which can be played will now appear in the display. Open the CD door on the unit to remove the CD. Random play (for remote handset) 1 2 Press the RANDOM button once, and the "RANDOM" indicator will light up and the tracks will begin to play radomly. Press STOP / BAND (MW / FM) button to clear the random mode. 10 Intro play (for remote handset) 1 2 Press the INTRO button once, and the "INTRO" indicator will light up. Shortly after this, every track will be played for only 10 seconds from the beginning. Programming By programming the CD player, you can play up to 20 tracks in any desired order. (possible only when the CD is in stop mode. ) 1 Place the disc to be programmed in the tray. 2 The display will show MEMORY TRACK and P-01. [. . . ] Cleaning a disc: * Should the disc become soiled, wipe off dust, dirt and fingerprints with a soft cloth. * The disc should be cleaned from the centre to the edge. FROM THE CENTRE TO THE EDGE 4 CORRECT INCORRECT * * Never use benzene, thinners, record cleaner fluid or anti static spray. Be sure to close the CD door so the lens is not contaminated by dust.
