The bread carriage lever will have returned to its upper position and disconnected the element, ready for the next toasting. · If the first slices are not dark enough turn the browning control to a higher setting. · If the first slices are too dark turn the browning control to a lower setting. · When toasting two slices, put the bread in the two outer slots for best results. One side may appear to be a darker colour than the other. This is quite normal and is not a fault. · If the bread in your toaster becomes jammed, disconnect your toaster at the socket, allow it to cool, then remove the bread. · When not in use, switch your toaster off at the mains and remove the plug from the socket.
