Insert a battery size 9 volts PP3/6LR61 (Ensure batteries are inserted correctly) Replace the battery compartment cover. Radio operation FM wire aerial To obtain the maximum FM reception fully extend the wire FM aerial (1) (which is located at the rear of the unit) and alter the direction of the wire for best results. The aerial for the MW waveband is located inside the unit. To obtain the maximum MW reception rotate the clock radio. [. . . ] Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch (16) to the desired buzzer or radio `AUTO' alarm position. The ALARM ON indicator (13) will appear on the LED display (11). To stop the alarm tone The alarm is programmed to run for 1 hour 59 minutes. 1 2 3 To stop the alarm, press the ALARM button (8). The alarm will stop and will operate again 24 hours later. To stop the alarm temporarily, press the SNOOZE button (5). The alarm will sound again 9 minutes later. To switch the alarm setting off permanently, slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch (16) to the `Off' position. 2 Wake up to the radio alarm 1 2 3 4 5 Switch the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch (16) to the `ON' position to tune to the desired station. Set the BAND SELECTOR switch (9) to select either FM or MW wavebands as desired. Adjust the VOLUME control (15) to a suitable level. Slowly adjust the TUNING control (10) to the desired station. Slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch (16) to the `AUTO' position. The radio station will wake you up at the set alarm time. The alarm will automatically turn off after a set period. Snooze function The alarm can be interrupted for a 9 minute period. 1 Press the SNOOZE button (5), after 9 minutes the radio or alarm buzzer will sound again. To set the sleep function Your clock radio is equipped with a sleep function that will turn the radio on and switch it off automatically after a set period from between 59 minutes to 1 minute. Pressing the hour button (7) will extend the sleep time to 1 hour 59 minutes. 1 Press the SLEEP button (6) the LED display (11) will show 0:59 sleep time at the same time the radio will come on and stay on for 59 minutes. Pressing the hour button (7) extends sleep time to 1:59. Press and hold the SLEEP button (6) whilst pressing the MINUTE button (3), the sleep time shown on the LED display (11) will start descending. Release all buttons when the desired sleep time is shown on the LED display (11). After the set sleep time has elapsed, the radio will automatically switch off.
