Redialing a Number If you hear an ordinary busy signal: Press 1O 2N To hang up redial the busy number Calling Features Using Caller ID Calling line identification (caller ID) displays the phone number for incoming calls. The phone displays the caller's name when the name is stored in your phonebook, or Incoming Call when caller ID information is not available. Using Voice Privacy When voice privacy is activated, your phone always tries to use a high-security connection to prevent others from intercepting your calls. When a high-security connection is available, your phone uses it and displays the Ü (voice privacy) indicator during a call. 41 Canceling an Incoming Call While the phone is ringing or vibrating: Press O or IGNORE (-) To cancel the incoming call Depending on your phone settings and/or service subscription, the call may be forwarded to another number, or the caller may hear a busy signal. Calling Features Turning Off a Call Alert You can turn off your phone's incoming call alert before answering the call. Press S left or right To turn off the alert Calling an Emergency Number Your service provider programs one or more emergency phone numbers, such as 911, that you can call under any circumstances, even when your phone is locked. Note: Emergency numbers vary by country. Your phone's preprogrammed emergency number(s) may not work in all locations, and sometimes an emergency call cannot be 42 placed due to network, environmental, or interference issues.
