Your phone might not offer this setting. Setting Up Your Phone 42 Calling Features For basic instructions on how to make and answer calls, see page 20. Changing the Active Line Change the active phone line to make and receive calls from your other phone number. Find the Feature M > Settings Calling Features > Phone Status > Active Line Redialing a Number If you hear an ordinary busy signal: Press 1O 2N To hang up redial the busy number Using Automatic Redial If the network is busy, you hear a fast busy signal, and your phone displays Call Failed. With automatic redial, your phone automatically redials the number for four minutes. When the call goes through, your phone rings or vibrates one time, displays Redial Successful, and then connects the call. 43 You must turn on automatic redial to use the feature. To turn automatic redial on or off: Find the Feature M > Settings > Other Settings > Initial Setup > Auto Redial When automatic redial is turned off, you can manually activate the feature to redial a phone number. When you hear a fast busy signal and see Call Failed: Press N or RETRY (+) Calling Features To activate automatic redial Using Caller ID Calling line identification (caller ID) displays the phone number for incoming calls. The phone displays the caller's name when the name is stored in your phonebook, or Incoming Call when caller ID information is not available. Canceling an Incoming Call While the phone is ringing or vibrating: Press O or IGNORE (-) To cancel the incoming call 44 Depending on your phone settings and/or service subscription, the call may be forwarded to another number, or the caller may hear a busy signal. Turning Off a Call Alert You can turn off your phone's incoming call alert before answering the call.
